Give Casey and KoKo back their board, unban them!

REINSTATE CASEY AND KOKO AT THE CANVAS

Sorry for posting this here guys, but I ain't got no home. My IP is banned at the site I created. Oh life, you would!

Anyway, I just did something last night that makes me really upset with myself. Something I haven't done in ages and never want to do again. I stayed up worrying and being pissed off about the actions of people that I have never met. People that mean nothing to my happiness. I haven't watched GH in over a year (Casey still does every day). It may even be closer to two. I don't like posting at messageboards. I like to lurk at them occasionally and laugh, get the info from them that I seek and leave without a second thought. Sometimes I check out old haunts just to see who is still there and how they are doing, but that's about it. I don't have many online friends anymore. I like it that way. Life is so good this way. For me.

I'm not going to waste a day of my life on this type of stuff again. If Brooke and the rest of the girls really feel they deserve ownership of the Canvas, they can have it (pending Yuku decision). Casey, Candy and I started the website and messageboard so long ago when it was a fun way for us to hang out and for Casey and Candy to practice their webdesigny skills. I was too lazy to even learn that. Just own up to the fact though that you were shady and stole it. You've had designs on it for quite some time. You could have created your own place, but you didn't. And when you took it, you took all our powers away from us. Hardly the actions of benevolent people just trying to care for the poor little Canvas that was abandoned by its owners . Even if we were the worst owners in the world and let the Viagra spammers run the board over that should have been our perogative because it was ours. If the Canvas died because of our neglect, that's what should have been able to happen. Cause it was ours to neglect or to nourish. If Casey and I ever left, our intention was not to give it to you.

I'm just not up for a elongated battle over this. I am only speaking for myself. We still do want to have our words with Yuku and Casey is free to say and do whatever she wants. She's much more feisty than me. I hope Yuku listens to us, but who knows what will come of this. So I'm out until I get word from Yuku. I want to go back to my life. They can have theirs.

But you do suck at life, Brooke & Co. (Yeah, I'm small town and I guess that makes me bitter! Obama '08!)

Also from Casey

Financing of the Canvas.

I just want to clear up some of the issues of money and The Canvas.

The Canvas board is FREE. Yuka is a FREE ad-supported platform. Having said that...

When we set up the Canvas on Ezboard, we paid for the "Gold" community for the first couple of years. After Steve came back the second time, the price skyrockted to about $1800+ (I'm thinking 3200, but that seems ridiculous) and we weren't going to pay for that, so we opened the community chest were people could donate. Most people gave on average less than $5. It was optional and we NEVER pressured anyone. We even negotiated it down to about $900 with Ezboard. We got close and then made up the difference out of our own pocket and purchased a year of Gold Community. We then asked people to purchase Personal Gold membership to keep the cost down and everything was done voluntarily. Every year we renewed using the donations in the community chest and our donations. We left it up to the members if they wanted to contribute to the extra furnishing.

If we didn't want to pay, we'd only lose our Gold status not the board itself because Ezboard like Yuka was FREE. We'd just have to sit on the floor.

The domain, thecanvas.tv, and all it's subparts; emails, icons, graphics, banners, requires a yearly registration fee, that we pay for. It also requires hosting, which is paid for monthly by us.

Hope this help clears up the debate of "who pays for it."
